Yes, it's true. We had our first birdie in the house today. Gadget's been bringing in grasshoppers to play with, and today she somehow managed to catch a female goldfinch. SR (silly girl that she is) let Gadget into the house while Gadget had the bird in her mouth. I'll let you figure out what happened next. :)
We did eventually get the finch back out of the house, after confining the cats and letting the bird settle down a bit. She flew over to the side door, and SR and I were able to get her out of the house using the pond net and some judicious sneaking around the house to open the door from the outside. Gadget is still annoyed that the bird is no longer in the house, and keeps going over to the last place she saw it and then glaring at me.
