And recovery progresses. Still moving slowly, but getting better. Slowly. J stopped by Faith in Action and picked up a walker for me. I don't need it for walking around, but it really does make getting up and down easier. The dog has picked up on the fact that she really shouldn't jump up on me to greet me, and has taken to coming over to my nest, poking her head in to be scritched, and then gently putting her front paws on the futon and leaning in so she can give me a puppy kiss. Amazingly enough, she's also *not* creeping into bed with us. SR has been a great help. All I ask DB to do is to stay out of the way and not cause too much trouble (occasionally I ask him to fetch something), but he seems a little spooked by the whole thing, and is staying out of whatever room I'm in. Apparently, when I told him he could hug me but *not* squeeze he got scared. (He's just the right height to squeeze the incision. Of course, when the incision is 7" long, that covers a wide range of heights.)
