Ten things I've done that you may not have, in no particular order.... (let's see how many I get)
1) Played the Soviet national anthem and the US national anthem before a hockey game. (The Soviet team sent us a very nice thank you note - no one else on the tour had done that.) The next weekend we played the Canadian anthem, and got a note from the Laurentian team for the same reason.
2) Played in a Christmas parade at 15F in South Range MI. Twice. (ok, the second time it was 10F and snowing.)
3) As (a member of) the visiting band, silenced a hockey arena during a game break by playing "We Are the World".
3) Packed up and moved a household 600 miles with *no* idea of where we were going to live. Twice. (not sure I can count this, as
johnridley was there too.)
4) Followed the Oregon Trail as a family vacation, and came home through Utah so we could stop at Dinosaur National Monument.
5) Was on the Tech team at two regional College Bowl tournaments. (We never made it out of regionals, though. sigh.)
6) Played on the field at UMich Stadium as a member of the "home" band, while never attending UMich. (OK, SillyRabbit's done this too, and she's not even in HS yet.)
7) Sang in the Knowne World Choir at Pennsic. Twice.
8) Wore orange and green (and purple) in a St Patrick's Day parade. (I'm entitled to both the green and the orange; the purple was because it was actually March 16, which is St Urho's Day.)
9) Worked at one of the big Minicons (26, iirc) with a 4 month old.
Enh. Not bad.
other than that, nothing unusual.
edited to add: 10) Sewed the last pearl (of 8 yards of 4mm seed pearls) to my wedding dress on Wednesday night for a Saturday wedding. Yes, I know the canonical way to do that is the day before or the morning of, but there were so many other things that had to be done at the last minute that I had to get the dress done early. (Along with this goes planning a wedding 150 miles from where we were living at the time; and not knowing exactly what kind of dress the Maid of Honor had until she showed up on Friday.)
