Was on my way to PT this morning, and came up to a line of cars at a traffic light. I slowed/stopped. The guy behind me did not. and he was going fast enough that I got slammed into the car in front of me. Significant damage to the front end of my car, including a busted radiator and ghu-knows what else. Dealer says I gotta take it to a body shop and get that fixed before they can work on the engine; which makes sense because the body is *in* the engine compartment. And the insurance adjuster can't get to the car until next Wednesday. sigh. So we will be down to one car for the next few weeks. (Airbags did not deploy, I am already stiff and creaky. I got a bruise/bump on my shin and I have no idea even what I bumped it on.)

So happy that you were not seriously injured in the crash! Not happy that airbags did not protect you.

nah, it's actually a good thing that the airbags didn't deploy -- it means that there wasn't enough impact to set them off. I'll still be stiff and a bit sore tomorrow, but it really wasn't that hard of an impact (once the car took the brunt of it, as it's supposed to).

Next time I get into the car, I'll see if I can figure out what I banged my leg on. (there's no airbags under the dash, so I wouldn't have been protected from that anyway.....)

well, F&#K indeed. I hope the stiff-and-sore fades quickly and that the insurance company is generous and prompt.
