Those of you who saw me at Fusion or Cap may remember that I was wearing an ankle wrap at least part of the time.
I've been upgraded to an air boot. sigh.
For an undetermined length of time -- depends on the results of various tests that have been scheduled but not completed (EMG and MRI). Preliminary diagnosis (pending test results, natch) is tarsal tunnel inflammation. He thinks it was triggered by bruising the bone and tendon on the outside edge of my foot, which pinched the nerve sheath and caused it to become inflamed.
The doc says I can take it off to drive, which is a Good Thing, because otherwise I'd have to take the whole family grocery shopping. Chaos would ensue, trust me.

After that, I think it will depend on whether it's a structural fault in the foot (and the extent of it) or just years of mis-use. Since I could still walk on it, he's leaning toward an orthotic.
