Once a theater mom, always a theater mom
Last weekend I worked the state level competition for OneAct theater. Despite some underlying problems (that I only heard about because I know people) things seemed to go pretty well. I was one of the judge wranglers & tabulators for the mainstage track (which is the one with the shows with lots of sets and props and sound and whatever else they think they need). What I was not expecting was that they fed me (HS cafeteria food, but still...). I did not actually get to see any of the shows, which was fine by me. (Despite being a theater mom, I don't particularly like live theater.) In this month's episode of "It's A Small World", I knew one of the mainstage judges through the FCB. We did the "you look really familiar" at each other, and then I placed her (she usually only sees me in black velvet, not a turquoise Tshirt...).
DB's car has new tires on it. It is unclear whether better tires would have prevented the most recent incident, but it was about time anyway. I think that J now has all of the parts and tools he needs to repair the car. We'll see this weekend.
The weather folk tell us that it's supposed to get into the 60s(F) tomorrow with rain, and have posted flood warnings for the next 3 days, because the ground isn't thawed and all that water has to go somewhere.
I smelled annoyed skunk this morning when I went out to feed the birds. :/
